John Laurens

General of the American Revolution. Laurens served on George Washington's staff and saw action at Brandywine. The son of Henry Laurens, he served as an envoy to France and helped negotiate the British surrender at Yorktown. He was killed in action while fighting with Gen. Nathanael Greene in South Carolina.
