The Navy is equipped with about 18 vessels, including four patrol craft and three minesweepers. The main vessels include the patrol boat Bulta (Storm Class), the minesweepers Viesturs and Imanta (Kondor II Class), and the minehunter Namejs (Lindau Class). In late 2004, the Netherlands gave Latvia a single hydrography vessel, Hr.Ms. Buyskes. The vessel will be renamed Varonis in Latvian service. In December 2004, Poland and Latvia reached an agreement to handover five Polish Navy Pilica 918M Class ASW patrol boats to the Latvian Navy.
